For the third consecutive year, Inc. Business Media honored Heartwood Partners in its Founder-Friendly Investors list. Inc.’s annual Founder-Friendly Investors list recognizes private equity and venture capital companies that have successfully backed entrepreneurs. In a statement, Heartwood Partners managing partner Robert Tucker said the recognition is a testament to the “team’s expertise and commitment to working with family and management-owned businesses to address their specific needs and to maximize their potential.”
Founder-led private equity and venture capital firms based in the United States that have been operating since January 1, 2018, are eligible to apply for the Founder-Friendly Investors list. Once the application period opens, applicants may apply through a short process. Representatives from Inc. Business Media will reach out to the founders of one of the portfolio companies the applicant provided in the application and interview them about their experience working with the applicant. Inc. Business Media publishes the list of successful applicants in an applicable year on its website, Inc.com, by October and in the print version of Inc. Magazine by November.
